The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has the most powerful V8 engine ever made beneath the hood. It’s a Supercharged 6.2-liter V8, framed after that of the sought-after Challenger SRT Hellcat. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s the same thing just boosted though-the Demon engine swaps out 25 major components from what’s found in the Hellcat engine. Compared to the Hellcat, the Demon has a larger supercharger, a higher rpm limit, a larger induction air box, and two dual-stage fuel pumps, and that’s just the start of the changes the engine underwent. This pays off though, as the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon pumps out way more power: 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque. The Demon is also the first street-legal production car that was built to run on 100+ unleaded high-octane fuel. A TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain. TransBrake, another first to be seen in a factory-production car, and Torque Reserve (yet another first!) work together to deliver impressive torque at launch.
Menacing and sinister, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is the widest Challenger to ever be produced and the first factory-production muscle car to be built with wide-body fender flares. The Demon is the first car to be produced with street-legal drag tires, a four-tire set of Nitto NT05R. A wide Air-Grabber hood scoop defines the exterior, consuming 45.2 square inches of hood space-the most of any production car. A driver-oriented interior finishes off the design of the Demon. There are a variety of seating configurations in the Demon. The standard configuration is a single driver’s seat covered in premium cloth. Alternatively, you can opt for a driver and front passenger seat covered in premium cloth, a driver and front passenger seat covered in Laguna leather and Alcantara suede, or a driver, front passenger, and rear seats covered in Laguna leather and Alcantara suede.
It takes the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon exactly 1 second to reach 30 mph from 0 mph.
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon runs on 100+ high-octane unleaded fuel or 91 octane fuel.
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is backed up by a three-year/36,000-mile limited vehicle warranty and five-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain coverage. That should keep you pretty secure for your first few years of ownership. Back in 2014, Dodge shook up the high-performance vehicle market forever with the release of the Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat, which produces 707 horsepower. Now, Dodge is completely reinventing the industry-again-with the Demon. To get into a piece of muscle-car, high-performance history, keep in touch with us at Browns Jeep Chrysler Dodge-we’d love to get you into the Demon as soon as it hits the street!
