1. Ethanol – Ethanol is an alcohol-based alternative fuel that is made by distilling fermented plants such as corn, barley or wheat. Ethanol contains a lot of oxygen, which makes the burning process very clean and the materials are renewable. Making this petroleum alternative an eco-friendly choice.
2. Electricity – Electricity can be converted to fuel electric vehicles. Electric vehicles store power in batteries that are recharged by plugging the vehicle into standard electrical sources. Vehicles can be power solely on electricity or can be a hybrid of electricity and petroleum. Electricity doesn’t require combustions therefore no pollution.
3. Biodiesel – Biodiesel is an alternative fuel based on vegetable oils or animal fats. Biodiesel can be used in diesel engines without modifications or biodiesel can be blended with petroleum diesel. Biodiesel is biodegradable and reduces air pollutants accompany vehicle emissions.
